Knocking at higher end rpm ?

i can get a video of it in the morning. it is in rhythm with the cylinders firing. I put about 100 bucks worth of sound dampeners around the engine bay so it sounds a little muffled. Like plastic hitting a metal. It sounds like that broken flexplate I had but only happens on higher rpm and under...

Knocking at higher end rpm ?

So I just finished all the mods and upgrades on my truck. I did a shake down and it is knocking after 30 min of driving. The knocking only happens right before the transmission shifts. It gets louder and louder and disappears after the shift. The mods: Turned up the IP 1 flat. (pump was...

Turn up your ip with an endoscope

This took me about 10 min and way easier than the mirror method. The endoscope I used cost me 10 bucks from eBay. I just thought I'd share. There were some specs of contamination from running wmo and picked them up with cotton buds to.

Anybody ever run an auto meter tach?

They are made to be adjusted. i dont think any normal tach will work. gas tach counts the sparks every 4 strokes. alternator picks up 3 phase electromagnetic pulses.

Anybody ever run an auto meter tach?

Thats a nice cluster gauge! van bodies doesnt have a pickup on the IP gear housing. it would be nice to know if the engine is gonna pop a valve spring. I think the alternator mount is a good solution. it doesnt look as neat with the hose clamps but it does the job.

    Low mpg IDI

I get 11-14mpg weighing at 12,000+ lbs. with my ambulance. The only main advantage with our engine, I think, is running multi-fuel. It's cheap to repair if anything goes wrong from running the fuel. It's not good in power and its not good in fuel economy, but she aint too picky in fuel.

    Transmission noise? (e40d with video)

Update. Torque converter was fine. The big chunks I suspect was from the old gasket flaking off. I was bending the old gasket and similar chunks were falling out. Reading old forums about e40d gets me traumatized sometimes. Inner race spins one way. As it should

    Transmission noise? (e40d with video)

The only problem I have is the time frame. This truck is my money maker. I can't afford that much downtime. I can afford being lazy and doing the job once tho.

    Cheapish 8cyl p pump

About air density. Im designing a n/a hybrid type of thing and was wondering what you guys think. I'm seeing calculations of around 90 Kelvin temperature difference, even more if there's a bigger turbo.

    Cheapish 8cyl p pump

thats the answer that I was looking for. I thought the pumps "cc" ratings were amount of fuel injected every compression stroke. Im all in now. So with this new pump, will it produce 80psi boost or is that still dangerous

    Cheapish 8cyl p pump

So I've been creeping on this thread since the beginning, in hopes that an answer for my question would pop up. If you can dump 5x amount of fuel with this pump, with all the other components survive in the engine, why not just use propane ? It's a cheaper setup even if it's throttle regulated...
