Did I kill my jump pack, or my battery, or both?

I have a '91 E350 7.3L IDI short school bus. I replaced the batteries about a year ago with two deep cycle starting batteries, and haven't had any problems until now. But now... I didn't start the bus for about six weeks, and unknown to me the extension cord I was running to my trickle charger...

What Are These Two Things? Do they go together?

Yeah, air bags in the front springs. They're new, explains why I never saw it before. The top one, though - excuse my ignorance, but it was never there before. Just appeared after several weeks in the shop. Why does it go all the way around the interior of the engine compartment?

What Are These Two Things? Do they go together?

These are both hanging inside the front grill. Are they supposed to be attached to each other? Attached to something else? Disregard the rusty coat hanger I rigged to pop my hood!

    COOLANT/CAVITATION/RELATED QUESTIONS

Well, I thought I was having issues with my engine. It turns out, the hose that connects the radiator to the overflow is disconnected. I posted when the radiator was still too hot to take the cap off, and saw there was literally nothing in the overflow, so I made an assumption that the coolant...

    COOLANT/CAVITATION/RELATED QUESTIONS

Thank you! My NAPA store gave me the phone equivalent of a blank stare, said all they ever recommend is old school green for a truck this old, because that's the only thing that existed when the truck was built, and claimed that NAPA KOOL didn't exist even when I gave them the part number. They...

    COOLANT/CAVITATION/RELATED QUESTIONS

Greetings. I am super confused. A few years ago I did some research on what coolant was best for my '91 E350 7.3 IDI short bus, and came away with the solid verdict that the basic green stuff was IT. I also came away with the impression that cavitation was not a huge thing in this...

    Bus pulling to both sides

well,,, it's not completely taken care of. Initially, they did the radial arm bushings and the kingpin bushings, and it was better, but still swerving. Then they discovered there was quite a bit of play in the steering box (installed two weeks ago) so they fixed that. Wheel doesn't jiggle at...

    Bus pulling to both sides

GOOD NEWS!!! The suspension shop worked on the bus today. The owner said something to me no one has EVER said: They're not done until I'm happy with how it drives. I'm going over there in the morning. There were multiple issues, I will get the full story when I get there, but no wheel bearings...

    Bus pulling to both sides

Asking around is how I found the guy I have been using, and he's supposedly the best in the area but I can't get past the huge lie he just told me, and obviously he doesn't want me as a customer if he's going to tell me he looked at my bus when he didn't. All he had to do was tell me he couldn't...

    Bus pulling to both sides

OK so I thought tie rods could jiggle the same way? BTW there's all kinds of clunking too

    Bus pulling to both sides

I WISH I could get some new support staff... No one wants ot work on this thing. Retail shops: 1) We don't do diesel; 2) It's too big; 3) It's too old; 4) It doesn't have a computer; 5) That bus is older than my guys. Commercial shops: Sorry, get in line behind the fleet contracts.

    Bus pulling to both sides

I had the bad luck to be behind a truck that lost a load of concrete and rocks. I had one rear tire blow out and another sustain some damage. The event resulted in closure of the freeway as big rigs crashed at the shoulder and people got stuck all over the place, but I was lucky enough to make...

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

Hey there! I took your advice before I even had it and stopped driving right after I made this post, though I did take it to the only alignment shop I trust that can handle the vehicle size, and they were even more jammed up than my mechanic. I finally got in to the mechanic today, and I just...

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

OK, this makes a lot of sense. You're right that it never happens at 0 mph. I’m trying to figure out how to present all this to the mechanic without seeming like I’m trying to tell him how to do his job. He mainly works on much bigger trucks so I don’t know what his level of experience with...

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

    - No recent work, but a ton of brake work in early 2020. Pretty much the entire brake system, front and back, was replaced. - Has not been sitting for a long time, though it's been driven a lot less in 2020 than in previous years. Still, it has not gone more than 4 days without being driven...

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

It does seem to go more with RPM than MPH. I would think a sound this pervasive and big would be coming from something very obvious, but maybe not. I will double and triple check.

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

Yeah I definitely have king pins, thanks, I will check that out!

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

Interesting! Thanks for the suggestion. It sounded like it was coming from the driver's side, and it's not the rotor on that side, but I wonder if I was hearing it wrong. Maybe it's on the other side? I would have expected more of a grinding than a thunking from that but I will check it out.

Can anybody tell me what this noise is?

It sounds like something thwacking against the bottom of my bus. 1991 Ford E350 7.3 IDI short bus. I am also getting a front end wobble. It's not a wheel bearing or stuck caliper. This is not constant, happens sporadically.

Could failing rear brakes cause FRONT brakes to smoke?

    OK, that makes sense, thanks.

Could failing rear brakes cause FRONT brakes to smoke?

I don't know what that means, sorry.
