in a truck that the a/c doesnt work the last thing want to do is constantly lay across my seat to put the pass window down... i just converted my front doors to electric....no looking back. just make sure the replacement motors you use are the ac delco motors. the cheap silver motors dont have...
i even checked mine in multiple locations to make sure they were still round...or as close as you can get with a set of digicalipers. i dont have a mic that will go that big.

I thought the same thing when I did mine. I used all enginetech parts and was able to source them all from eBay very reasonable. All the enginetech brand is a box...they are made by clevite or federal mogul or whoever is the best price at the time. Im pretty sure all my bearings came stamped...
As long as the journals are OK and they check out like what was stated above I'd throw bearings in it. New bearings might even take care of your thrust play.

I managed to fix my drivers window motor and converted the pass side to power window. Only the front doors though. Next up is to find some oem lock actuators...
somewhere i have pics of both firewalls. totally different. i tried that when i was knee deep in my ext cab project. ended up scrapping the project due to not wanting to find another cab after buying an obs cab
One trick I learned from an old hotrodder is to take the nozzle off a can of brakkleen and use it with the straw and cheap tractor implement paint to get inside the hard to reach areas like rockers...frame rails...inside fenders. I've started doing this myself...spray it till it runs with paint.
