4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

yea, im not real worried about things getting covered in soot but i do want to make the truck quieter. All i need is 3 90s cutting one in half will give me the 2 45s i need, and i think i should be able to get it over the axle without to much difficulty. Most of the noise from the truck just...

    High clutch pedal effort

I know its an old truck but the clutch pedal effort seems unusually high. It takes most of what my leg can do to get it to the floor and holding it down for more than a couple seconds my leg is on fire. I replaced all the pedal bushings did the heim joint mod and replaced the hydraulics and...

    om603 white smoke?

He did say that its been sitting for 5 years but even before it did smoke. I does sound good so ill probably bring a can of injector cleaner with me and give it a good drive home see if it clears up

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

Strange, seems i can find cheap 4in stainless 90s everywhere, amazon has them for only 22$ but 45s seem to be over 50 bucks a piece anywhere i look.

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

I had seen a few people say that having the exhaust in front of the tire can cause extra tire and break wear because of the extra heat and in the winter it can freeze the breaks cause of the moisture. Of course dont know how true it is but i can sorta see it

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

Yea, i was thinking taking the exhaust over the axle all the way out the back vs dumping it in front of the axle. It would be a lot easier to just dump it in front of the axle

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

The stainless kits im looking at are all over 400 seems extremely high to me. I dont really think it would be to hard to build it myself for way cheaper looks like all i need is a couple 90s some 45s and itll be good

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

    om603 white smoke?

The guy also said no oil in coolant and smoke smells like diesel. So it definetly is an injector

    om603 white smoke?

Would i be safe driving it the 210 miles back and just fill the tank with some good injector cleaner or should i tow it back in case of a stuck open injector. I dont think its a stuck open injector as that should cause massive smoke while this is only a barley noticable white smoke

    om603 white smoke?

So im looking into a 1992 Mercedes 300SD thats in real good shape. The problem is its the 3.5 om603 and it blows white smoke. The guy sent a video and its a very light white smoke its not very noticable but it is there. The engine runs great starts right up and has no weird noises it burns no...

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

yea, 5in is completly overkill for any idi, but it wont have an idi forever eventually it will have a 550-600hp compound turbo cummins so i was thinking a little ahead i only want to do the over axle portion of the exhaust once

4in vs 5in exhaust. Yes i know another one.

I know its been covered to death but i couldnt find quite what i was looking for. How does a 4in straight pipe compare to a 5in with a resonator/muffler. Im mainly concerned with the drone i really dont like it. As far as actual noise well, currently it has a 3.5in straight pipe that exits right...

    Rear exit exhaust

It looks like for the most part It dropped right in. I didnt really see where he had to modify anything. He did the bronco tank the 38 gal tank i have is deeper i dont know if that difference would cause any problems

    Rear exit exhaust

When I installed my 38 gal tank I had to cut the over axle part of the exhaust off. It doesn't seem like theres much room to fit a pipe through there. Has anybody managed to fit a 4-5in exhaust back there or should I just not worry about it and have the exhaust exit in front of the rear tire

    Rear shock angle?

Yea, I don't actually have a mig it's the shops. I do have a stick if I can get good with that it'll solve the problems

    Rear shock angle?

WOW I forgot what having rear shocks feels like SO much better around corners and a huge difference over the large bumps.

    Rear shock angle?

Welp, after some grinding and finagling I got the new mounts welded on at the correct angle. Theres still maybe a slight twist but not enough to effect anything. I see now why mig welding just doesnt work outside, any tiny bit of wind and things went south. There definetly on there, whenever i...

    Rear shock angle?

Thanks everyone for your help. It shouldnt be to hard to get everything right
  23. D

    Rear shock angle?

It seems its supposed to be like that. Ill try bend my lower shock brackets i made to match the angle. Or try to cut the top so itll sit flush with the axle at an angle.

    Rear shock angle?

If anybody has the time take a look at your upper shock mounts and see if theres any bend in it causing the shocks to bend outward. if your shocks and upper mount are straight then indeed mine are bent from damage and ill have to try to bend them back into position.

    Rear shock angle?

I watched a couple other 05 and up swaps and they just relocated the brackets and everything bolted on no problem. Im starting to think my upper brackets are indeed bent from damage
