Broken Bell housing fix sort of

That's clever, and might be stronger than the original. If it works on the back roads, I expect it will work on the highway.

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

I'd better ask my friend what year that frame, bed and drive line was.

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

Whew! VSS on the t-case means I have it. If it was on the rear differential it'd be a problem, because I didn't get that axle. I could swap in the newer t-case along with the newer transmission.

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

The tps I have, the tach sensor is probably still on the old engine. Where would the vss live?

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

I have the ragged-out engine that was in front of the e4od, so I do have the spacer.. The C6 isn't working right, so I'd rather pay to get the e4 fixed than the C6. If I'm going to put this on the road I'll want od, it's 100 miles to the big city.

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

I believe I have the cross member and tps from the parts truck the e4od came out of. Might have to have a drive shaft altered.

    Replace a C6 with an e4od?

I just bought an '88 F250 Centurion with a C6. I have an IDI e4od sitting around. What would it take to swap it in to replace the C6? I figure I'd need an aftermarket transmission controller. I'd need to add a button on the dash. Does the tranny just bolt in, no spacers or adapters required...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Good to be sure, thanks. This would be a great candidate for converting to a manual, then!

So what did you do with your truck today?

It was yesterday, but I went out and dragged home one of the trucks I bought last winter. It's an '88 F250 Centurion 4x4 with an automatic...pretty sure it's a C6? The upholstery is faded, and so's the paint. It ran when they parked it 7 years ago. The only major problem with the interior is the...

Anyone in Missouri have a decent rig for sale?

@KansasIDI, there is a lot of heavy construction in Alaska, but probably no real scope for your specialty. We could have a much bigger cattle industry if we had a slaughterhouse, but right now herds are sized in dozens, because there just isn't a way to dispose of more.

Anyone in Missouri have a decent rig for sale?

Yes, she bought a little Toyota, and started driving north yesterday with a friend.

Do we have a source for the mesh guard on the intake manifold?

Thanks, man, but Goat already sent me a couple, so I'm good.

What is this on my precups?

You have white, powdery looking deposits on some valves and the portion of the cup that's inside the combustion chamber. No clue, I've never seen that before.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I installed a new mechanical fuel pump in my '91 plow truck. The one I replaced went in last June, so I got about 10 months out of it. I've ordered a Walbro FRB-13 to have on hand in 10 months when this happens again.

    Odometer question

The question with our old rigs isn't whether it rolled over, but how many times it rolled over.

Injectors without o-rings... do any exist?

Dregs Garage brass caps were expensive, and worth it. Not sure he's still in business? Definitely use viton orings.

How good or bad is the E4OD?

If you're going to have an automatic, e4od isn't terrible. The one behind my Powersmoke lasted many hard miles. Turn off the OD while towing.

    Alaska red crewcab build thread

Long trips are probably a few years off yet. The trash trailer has been useful as is, haven't done any more with it.

Do we have a source for the mesh guard on the intake manifold?

My filter housings still have the soup bowl in them, so I don't think I can pull the lid off first, unfortunately.

Do we have a source for the mesh guard on the intake manifold?

I'm good now, Skylab, Goat fixed me up. IDIBronco nailed it: the air cleaner caught the edge of the screen as I was lifting it. No comment about the bull in the china shop bit.

    New age headlights

I got a three pin flasher from Amazon, and it's totally useless. Doesn't flash at all. Sent it back, got another, same story.

    New age headlights

At the risk of changing the subject, I see BajaHID has LED tail light assemblies, recommends a "digital flasher," but they don't sell one? Has anyone come up with a digital flasher that works?

    New age headlights

Baharetrofits looks like the answer to the question. I think he's going to get some money from me before next winter.
