Number 8 had a TSB for the noise being a dead headed fuel system, they installed an AE code injector in #8 which is also called a long lead injectors as it is mechanically tuned to deliver a longer lead time to allow for less cackle. Technically you can run either, I...
The problem is not the threads, it is the connection between the tube seating face and the nipple seating face. If you try to put Teflon in that area you risk debris into the injector. I don’t think its a good idea.
Did you try to tighten it? It may be just the way it’s seated. Loosen the nut move the line slightly to center it in the nut and snug it back down. If that doesn’t do anything, take the line off and clean, polish the nipple on pump and clean, polish the seat of the line. Don’t let any grit or...
If it’s from a bus the oil pan and oil pickup may have to be changed to fit a pickup Crossmember. On the bus the pcm may be mounted on the engine. Turbo clearance could be an issue. The motor will interchange with your original. You may have to change your accessories over power steering...
Most likely it’s been leaking for a little while already. You may be fine for a couple of days or it may die when you least expect It. It’s telling you it’s time. Make sure you're not getting fuel in your oil, it will thin it out and cause a whole new set of problems.
If it’s leaking out the weep hole it’s time for a new one. Also check your oil for fuel in it as a precaution.
You are talking about the fuel pump on the lower passenger side of engine and not injection pump on top of engine.
It may just be sticking. An additive could cure your problem. This is copied from a post by a member on this forum. I have used automatic transmission fluid or sea foam to do this. It will make a difference in the way it runs.
“Fill your fuel filter with ATF, as full as possible so as to avoid...
Wd40 is good but there are better products for penetrating rusty metal. I like 50% acetone and 50% automatic transmission fluid, it just works. I’d get a better penetrant and get a 32 oz machinist hammer and hit the flat face between the studs. Be patient, beat a bit then add penetration oil let...
Being your not able to read codes, have you checked your TECA relay? This powers the TECA (Transmission Electronic Control Assembly) module.
Pin 1 has voltage all the time. When you turn key to start or run Pins 37, 40, 57, and 60 are powered also. It may be worth checking.
