    You'll never go wrong with T-19 or a ZF-5 on these engines. I'm pretty sure I got one of those valves on one of my extra pumps if you can't find one. And yeah, the red plastic thingy is broken on everybodys truck except @Clb and @FrozenMerc trucks, because they drive unicorns.

    The balance has to do with the harmonic balancer on the turbo engine. Pulling a van engine would be a mess.

    You're totally fine. The flywheel and tranny will bolt right on with no issues. It sounds like you already know of the two differences, as in motor mounts and oil cooler. The biggest problem you'll run into is the engine itself.....it weighs about 900lbs, so be careful,lol.

    Yeah, people do get fussy about an oil leak......I like it myself. It's a simple way to start diagnostics......"hey, what's that puddle?....." "Is it green? Brown?.......no, it's yellow.....oh, my dog just walked away from here, we're good, let's get going....."

    I have a theory about buying thermometers in a store....I look through them and take a concencus of what they all say and pick one of the "average" ones. If you can get another one and compare them you can gauge who's telling the truth.
