    #1- catch mess of mullet #2- coax good friend over to pull engine for you #3- clean and fry mullet #4- have good friend wash up #5- eat fresh fried mullet #6- tell friend you're going fishing next weekend if he wants to come back and put engine back in for you..... See, simple as 1,2,3......

    If you pulled the entire injection pump housing that contains the gear, you could have put it back on 180* out of time. These engines will run 180* out, but will run poorly and smoke like that......I've done it twice...... kinda feel stupid after the second time.

    Man! It really sounds like it's twerked on the striker in just such an way. My immediate thought is to use a flat bar , maybe protected with a cloth or piece of rubber, and gingerly pry right where the striker is....... while holding your breath!

    I'm pretty sure all the IDI trucks have the headlight issue...... y'all gotta do relays to the headlights! It's really scary when they start turning on and off for no apparent reason!

    The first thing is to see if it's getting fuel to the injectors. Then work it back from there.

    I've done it both ways a couple times. Just like @Nero said, use a cherry picker......if it's the passenger side head, there's some finagling with the back corner bolt. Like, pull it out halfway and put a zip tie on it....... the superior option is to fry fresh fish for your really good friend...

    If you're talking about the windshield, it'll be the same except where they have the blacking is clear for the VIN. The door glass is different. And I'm not sure on the back glass.

    I don't know about the turbo, but all the starter is the same no matter what transmission you have.
