Besides Motorcraft oil filter and cap be sure to change the fuel filters with Motorcraft only as well. The water seperator filter on the frame is really critical for the injectors. Every 10K miles on those. What motor oil you using? I'm using Dello 5W-40 full synthetic. Rotella T6 is another good one. The Dello is cheaper at my Wally World. l always use a fuel additive like Power Service/ Diesel Kleen to help with fuel lubricity. Helps the injectors for sure. I love my '04. Pulls awesome.
