Need a motor

I have a worn out 6.9 bored .60 over with a ton of blow by and smokes badly. I have dumped a ton of $$ into it. I frankly was done with it and went out and bought a nice Chevy obs. Tried selling my truck, just got a bunch of offers and no one would show up. I have been looking for a motor and ran across this one, he wants $1650 for motor, trans, and transfer case, sounds like the trans is bad, which I have no need of anyway. What would you offer him? He thinks it’s a banks turbo. Looks factory to me.

Can he show you that it runs? Will he let you check it out if it does run? If the answer to both of those is no, then I sure wouldn't give him the full asking price.

Here is the add it has a video of it running, he said he will sell just the motor, has not replied with a price.

It's probably 2 or 3 times more than the seller knows it's worth...

But I didn't watch the video.

But, and as a disclaimer, I put 2k into a balanced and blueprinted 22re celica long block.
It's a 4 banger...
I say start low, you can always go up.
