Yes I am replacing them, and only after finding out Ford and International don’t know what they are talking about, I have the correct ones coming. I am quite familiar with installing Welch plugs, other than these being a lot thicker and stainless, what is the secret?
I did find the fitting that belongs there. I found with a another group of hardware that got moved during a garage cleaning. I guess mostly did not know what I was actually looking for, but as soon as I saw it I knew what it was. Thanks all!
Well it seems I am back on the fast track, with your suggestions on the heater and I found the missing fitting along with a batch of missing hardware, we are just waiting on freeze plugs to stab it between the rails!
I will get the picture of the valley pan today, the oil pressure sensor is a 1/4 not and is behind the valley tray. This 1/2 npt?!? And is threaded in to open block, not an oil gallery.
Well, I do appreciate that, but I have mostly done small engines and antique gasoline engines with a few small Diesel engines thrown in. First big diesel I have played with.
While it may appear assembled, it was merely mocked up for painting and then bolt inventory as I am relaxing hardware in some areas as I go. The fit pump housing just got cleaned and painted and the pump and injectors are going to be rebuilt. I wanted to keep the dirt out in the mean time.
