How heavy is your right foot? Are you pulling heavy loads? A heavy foot and heavy loads in an all out race tune can burn up a trans. I always got best fuel mileage with my hydra on the 100hp street tune. It's usually the timing pump and more aggressive shift pattern that net the fuel mileage bonus. IDI 0-60 Times

Idi vs powerstroke?
As somebody who's driven every iteration of the 7.3, I'd go a with a powerstroke. Better ride, more power parts are more expensive but reliability seems to be better. 94-98 Upgrade plan
Check out swamps website. They have performance kits for the engine side. as for transmission. would do that first. Traction/ladder bars. If you're an 250 solid front axle swap.
