Well I should of done this in the first place come to find out it’s the pick up line in the tank! I can watch the fuel level go downin the filter and watch air come in! well now atleast I know where to look!Replaced the mechanical pump too and ditched the electric one! Well I’m definitely going to check my return lines now that are past the engine and also I got 2 brand new lift pumps for it. I never installed either one because I had the truck shut off on me one day and I took the filter off and the lift pump wasn’t pushing any fuel into the filter before I...- The_gestach

So the return line can also cause this air intrusion that’s coming through the pump going back to the tank? Because when I see the bubbles they are existing the pump return fitting. This is my electric fuel pump from orileys it goes back over the frame into the steel line that runs by the transmission the only 2 lines that I haven’t replaced are the steel line that go next to the tranny and then the line that goes from water separator to where the mechanical pump use to be- The_gestach

Hey rock! I had took the IP inlet line off yesterday and wouldn’t you know the olive was bad!! I had my daily driver at a tire shop so I wasn’t able to go get a new olive from a dealer so I used some 5/16 hose and made a new olive. No noticeable air in fuel anymore. Thank you rock! I’ll take a look at the return line olive but i see the air coming out of the injection pumps return line, also my truck does numerous of things it hard starts when cold starts good when warm, while driving it runs lean once warmed up and only starts getting air intrusion when...- The_gestach

Thank you rocky for the response but I have barley any steel lined anymore I have replaced a lot of it with rubber because it had rubbed through. I am not keeping it that way I just would like to get it running good before I buy any replacement kits. There should be no more olive seals left...- The_gestach
