well, I finally broke down and took it to a tranny shop. After talking to several different people, I decided that for me, I didn't need to do the big upgrade kit. Another '92 for sale
'92 4x4 Texas truck. I'm asking $2800. Good truck, just a little beat up but it runs good. It's and extended cab long bed single rear wheel. Not sure why, but this is the only pic I could get to upload. Anyone interested let me know and I'll e-mail some pics.- Smokey73

E4OD woes
The trans in my '97 is having problems. It started by hesitating when you put in reverse after it warms up, then I noticed that 1st will slip pretty bad when it's cold. I noticed that the oil smelt burnt, so I changed the oil and filter. When I dropped the pan, I found alot of metal shavings...- Smokey73

Doors lock when you turn on the key
I've got a '97 crew cab F-350. When you turn the key on, the doors automatically lock after 5 seconds and again 5 seconds after you start it. My question is: Is there a door lock module or relay or somthing of that sort, that may be telling the doors to lock. The truck doesn't have RKE or an...- Smokey73

I've had a fuel gauge hooked up to it for the last few days and am planning on putting in an oil pressure gauge as soon as my new gauge pod comes in- Smokey73

I've been driving the truck for a few days now and have gone through two tanks of fuel. I just checked the HPOP res and it was about a half inch down from the top. Everything looks and runs good. I got lucky on this one, I nearly stole the truck for next to nothing cause the guy was convinced...- Smokey73

When you check it do you pull the plug to the right or the sensor or dose it matter? Also, are you supposed to suck that oil out periodically, I heard that but never knew for sure- Smokey73

after it started, it ran pretty good. I let it warm up and reved it a few times. The idle smoothed out and I didn't notice any kind of miss. I didn't drive it anywhere because it dosn't have wheels on it because I didn't expect it to start at all. After I get it to where it can go down the...- Smokey73
