    Little Trick for Fan Removal

Would not recommend trying the 15mm wrench on the tensioner pulley while trying to remove the fan clutch. I thought it was a great idea when I saw your picture right up until I tried it and the tensioner pulley bracket snapped. To top it off the fan clutch nut is still tighter than a bullfrogs...

    Leaking water pump

@Bradd Barmettler thank you, I did start it and saw it spitting out of the bottom of the water pump so I just picked one up and am going to have a long night

    Leaking water pump

Sorry to jump into your thread and ask another question but... I just installed a new radiator and am doing a coolant flush so while filling the radiator with distilled water I started to see dripping. After crawling under the truck I can see it dripping from behind the main crank pulley but I...

@Stu Bailey I definitely will post a full update when I have it consistently starting. I have done a lot already but having just bought the truck a week ago, they are all things that I am happy I did so that I know when they were done and that they were done correctly. Id love to be able to...

@ISPKI Thats not a bad idea, I hadn't thought about doing that. Side note to anyone reading this thread, please disconnect the cables before testing resistance on the positive wire or else you'll blow the internal fuse on your meter. Sorry just had to put my 2 cents on that as an electrician...

@ISPKI you are 100% correct, I do know that the batteries are good though because I just dropped $350 on them two days ago lol. @MtnHaul I checked the terminals when i put the new batteries in and the crimps were all clean and tight and the terminal ends are nice and tight on the terminals. I...

Replaced the glow plugs and still no start. Jumped the started solenoid to crank from the engine compartment and checked fuel at shrader valve and had a good constant stream. My batteries have 12.3v so now I’m thinking my starter isn’t spinning fast enough due to @The_Josh_Bear ’s video he...

@bbjordan thank you for your reply, I have installed a bypass for the stock replay and I can hear it hold while I’m pressing my manual switch. I’m hoping that the glow plugs are the issue, the new ones were supposed to be here yesterday and now I’m waiting for them to come today. I’m literally...

So this morning after putting in the return line kit, bleeding the fuel system and running the truck it won’t start again. I’m still waiting on the new glow plugs but I had it plugged in all night so I think I still have an air issue. I traced the return line back to the tank but aside from...

@The_Josh_Bear In reguards to the IP and pouring cool water over it, are you saying that if they are worn out they get overheated and will restart once cooled down? This is my first diesel that isn't controlled by a computer so I'm curious as to how the injection pump works

Thank you everyone for all of your input. I replaced all of the return lines, o rings, and connectors today and after purging the system, i could tell the truck wanted to fire and a 1/2 second shot of ether got it fired up. I ran it for about 10 minutes and shut it down and half hour later it...

Thanks @Selahdoor and @Cubey. I’m curious about the alternator and it’s something I’m definitely going to check one I get it starting consistently. The batteries were replaced in October and I just had them checked the other day so I’m good on them for a while. I’m also thinking that once I...

@Cubey i did trace the feed and return lines back to the tank and couldn’t find any clear issues with them but I am going to give them another try while I wait for the parts to come in Sunday (gotta love amazon prime) @Farmer Rock , I’m almost at the point where I think that it starting...
