Thanks for the info guys.:Thumbs Up As far as a rebuild goes I was thinking a complete rebuild (machining, new pistons, all new seals, ect.) I ended up just buying a used motor in really good condition for about $850 earlier this year. I was just thinking about getting it into running condition...- PorterS

Is it usable
So in about July of 2016 I started my venture of getting my old 93 idi running again. We took the heads off to go to the machine shop where we learned that the valve guides were trashed and it was going to be a $1000+ fix. We have had this motor sitting open cylinder with little to no protection...- PorterS

7.3 idi died and wont fire back up
So would I need to get the Howes to ungel it or do you think I could just use a space heater to warm the fuel- PorterS

That is a possibility it is actually 2 year old diesel that was put in in about August. It does have heet iso in it but I dont know how much of an effect that would have. And it has been damn cold out here. Thanks;)- PorterS

Yeah it only sat for about 1-2 weeks and the fuel is just below 3/4- PorterS

7.3 idi died and wont fire back up
Hey I am new to the thread. My truck a 93 Ford IDI quit on me while we were trying to move it to a different spot and it wont fire back up it just cranks. It fired right up like normal ran for about 15 seconds then just stopped. Could it be air in the lines or something else- PorterS
