Truck:1988 F-350 with a swapped in 1989 7.3 IDI, non turbo, ZF5 transmission.
It used to be a 460 but the previous owner blew it up and was more enthusiastic than thorough when he installed the 7.3. The fuel cut off solenoid, hot/cold idle solenoid, and glow plugs are on manual switches in the cab. The wiring harness is a bad joke that I have yet to make sense of. He admitted to me when I bought it that he'd been using starter fluid when it was cold to get her running.
Since buying it I have burned up two sets of plugs, replaced the alternator, starter, and a half dozen starter solenoids on the passenger side engine bay. There is no plug controller.
