Rolls over, but will not start! -cuss So I think about it for a minute and wonder why I can pull start it but not crank with the starter. The only difference is the lift...

    Good Buy

Sorry for the late reply. Hope u found a good one. The broken dash is a common problem. Here is one solution: http://www.coverlaymfg.com/index.php?crn=208&rn=385&action=show_detail Also if you get a 98.5-2002 24valve, get a fuel pressure gauge!

    Cold Start Problems

I need some help. I have a 2001 24v 3500 ram 2wd with a 5 speed manual. When the temps get below 40*F it will not start. I have tried cycling the heaters multiple times, new batteries, new lift pump, and still nothing. When I plug the truck in at night, it starts fine. Once I get it started...

    Which Fuel Pressure Gauge

Did just that. I have a pricol gauge (0-30 psi) and did the needle valve trick. Now I hear it rattle a lot. I have bled air out twice but may still have some in the lines. Or is it normal for these mechanical gauges to rattle?

    12 valve vs. 24 valve

My father has a 1997 12 valve 5 speed, and has way more power than my 2001 24 valve 5 speed. As far as I know they are both vintage. His smokes A LOT when shifting and mine doesn't. He was told that his turbo may have been drilled out and that was causing the smoke and extra power. Has anyone...

    Fuel Pressure Flutter

I am running 2 lift pumps, one on the engine and a pusher on the frame. I am running about 19 psi at idle and 16 psi WOT. Is that bad on the vp to stay above 14 psi? Could that cause excessive fuel consumption?

    Lost 5th gear

My father has had the same issue 3 times in his 97. We finally welded the nut to the shaft. We had the same issue once with the noise, and that was because the washer behind the nut had broke into two pieces. Luckily nothing was hurt.

    fuel pressure

neat setup Thats pretty neat, although those pumps pictured are Holley Blue pumps. Do you have any trouble with cold starts? Can too much fuel pressure cause a cummins to be hard to start?

1999 Dodge Ram Cummins won't start

2001 same problem Mine did the same thing. I bled the fuel system at the injector pump and she fired right up. I had installed a low fuel pressure sensor a couple of days before and had to bleed out the air, but this was several days later after the truck had been starting fine. 2001 Ram...
