The weakest link on the '03 early '04 was a thin walled EGR cooler that would rupture coolant into the intake. If yours is deleted that's not an issue. Internally it has a different (some say weaker some not) HPOP, different oil rails and standpipe/dummy plugs.
The new regulator came with new motor so I just replaced it as a unit. This is the one I got.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Left-Driver-Window-Regulator-With-Motor-for-Ford-F150-F250-F350-1980-1996/263104566251
I had that problem. Lubing it like Selahdoor said helped some but I ended up replacing the regulator. It was like $30 or something of ebay. Had to remove the wing window to get the window out, then grind off the 4 rivets that hold the regulator on. It was easy after that getting it back...
Had the first day warm enough that I could stand touching metal in over a month so I took advantage and put new shocks on the "King Ranch". Nothing fancy just Gasmatics but feels a good bit smoother than the (who knows how old) old ones.
You would think. Next step is getting out of this state and find some unincorporated land somewhere south and do just that.
We're worse on gun rights too, but not by much. Where are you at LJ? I have a friend in Westminster Co., the road in front of his place is like a parade of diesels going by.
I probably could do that, but this being NJ they'd make me apply and pay for permits and submit a raft of paperwork for each one rather than once. I don't think it will be a problem, they just want the money and enjoy making ppl jump thru hoops. Have to go to a zoning board meeting and let any...
I am drooling. That's a beautiful shop and the lift of my dreams, enjoy! I started on a project like this last spring before bigger issues took over. I had the survey done and applied for permit and got denied because even tho I have 6 acres I need a variance to build anything over 800 sq foot...
I replaced the window regulator and window a while back and after I had it all back together had a problem with the door lock. When I took it back apart found after flopping the harness out of the way a bunch of times one of the wires on the underside of the switch block detached itself from...
Either that or drill. Can't help thinking it comes apart somehow, the simple things are the biggest puzzles sometimes. I put it back on the shelf for now while I thunk on it.
Yeah, but I want it to look like I didn't cobble it back together. Not concerned about the underside but rather not have a bolt sticking up on top. If I have to I'll use a cone head screw there but I'd prefer getting it apart and together intact.
@jrollf (or anyone) How did you get the bracket apart? Is this a screw or a rivet. The square fits a 1/4 drive but it twisted out of the hole kinda stripping it, not sure if it's just rusted in place or a rivet that needs drilling or what....
I have a '93, it was repainted at some point but the original looks like your truck (can't tell for sure in the darkish pics). If it is the same color it's called Bimini Blue Clearcoat Metallic K3/M6485
