looking to buy a PS with 350+
I'm working on a deal for a 02 powerstroke with over 350xxx miles. the guy tells me it won't start unless plugged in, even on a nice day. after searching I'm finding that glow plugs, glow plug relay, or batteries (and or cables/ground) could be my main problem here, BUT.... what else could it...- IDIcaveman

so far restart 1 and 2 after that hose have been good. maybe.... just maybe.- IDIcaveman

did it before the caps and o-rings. i'm trying to fix it when i can. started with the fuel filter, then caps and o rings. just replaced the hose from feul line to lift pump. it's a work in progress 4 me- IDIcaveman

well i'm doing that and notta, so here's a question, will this small leak ever leave me stranded? i know it takes a bit to get it to start but could it die once it's running.- IDIcaveman

rubber hose on lift pump is good. gonna cut the ends and make sure they aren't the problem- IDIcaveman

tank rusted at the seam, i understand it's sucking air but wouldn't it leak fuel at the same time though? and lift pump is diesel term for fuel pump. thanks!- IDIcaveman

i only use my front tank. the rear leaks. could that be the problem even if my switch is on the front tank? and where is the lift pump? whats it do- IDIcaveman

yes i did replace that, i notice that right before it runs out of fuel it dumps alot and smokes like a mother!- IDIcaveman

well i've read other threads with my same problems but i'm kinda stuck here. 94 f250 7.3 idi factory turbo 130xxx miles. newer fuel filter, and just did the injector o rings, caps, hose, and when i fire it up, it runs for a bit and dies, then i have to crank it till it bleeds the air out and...- IDIcaveman

2 trucks, 2 starters in the trash
X a million. it's sad how fast i can unhook my batteries, pull connections off of the starter, clean em, and hook it all back up. man that first start.... so much power- IDIcaveman

I LOVE driving a diesel!
me too. I like when they wizz around you and get stuck in town. diesels sit and the perfect level to just shine the lights in. plus when you get up on THEIR ass it's like, OMG this guy is gonna run my ass over! hahaha and if you got a good ol turbo diesel, they aint gettin away.- IDIcaveman
