    IDI marine engine questions

They could just use it in a police car like the one at the end of the old movie "Moving Violations". :joker: You should. I think I've seen someone say on here that those had more power than a regular, stock, ground based IDI.

Great. Now you're all set to make more memories.

    1989 ZF542 on 7.3 Clutch Interlock

Just so you're aware, the manual transmissions don't have a TCU. Once you practice a bit, I'm sure that you'll be able to handle the ZF5 just fine.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Not that I needed it but...

    Is it my alternator?

It isn't. My truck ran just fine for several years with only one wire before I did the 3G swap. I also had a 1984 Mustang that only had one wire (different wiring set up) that worked just fine too. The parts stores swore up and down that it wouldn't charge without that other wire, but they were...

Same here. I prefer to bypass them.

    Fresh build, smoke, stumped

No. It runs too good and revs up too quickly for that.

    Dash lights

Which is why I'll be switching over to all LEDs when I work over my trailer this summer.

    Return line question

I suppose that you could, but, to me anyway, it's kind of like trying to reinvent the wheel. Those are probably the original olives, they have worked for this long, new ones will probably last that long again. Just my opinion though. When I've replaced that return line, I just slid a new rubber...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Yes. It's horrible. Yes. Still no generator though. I don't pull it often enough to justify any attempts.

So what did you do with your truck today?

PFFFT! That's nothing. I have about 5 pickup loads ready to burn, another probably 2 1/2 loads that still need to cure out, and I was just offered some more this evening. I didn't say no and I didn't say yes. Yes. It's called the pickup bed trailer. There's no F350 sitting around without...

You'll have to be careful. Most of them are made to plug into a OBD2 port. You'll have to find one that uses a cigarette lighter plug. Also don't leave them on for longer periods of time very often. I used to leave my first one on over the weekend occasionally, but it burned out a couple of lights.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I loaded up the last of the fire wood at my house and tool it over to the garage. There was a little bit more than I thought. I had almost a full load, but I thought there was only 1/2-1/3 of one.
