A/C sucks
I spent four hours cleaning my evap, waste of time. Cheaper to just replace the damned thing, then charge the system at the house. If you are a novice to AC work, find someone around you to help. If you are in Texas, I will for some Miller Lite -Flame Thr- Hit Man X

Cab rust worse than I thought...options?
I have not been on here in a while, but there is an 87 gasser club cab dually here in my fab guy's pal's back yard, I went and looked at it recently. Been stuck in corner for 15 years with wiped cam. Ahhh compressor black death. You have a hard row to hoe my friend. Flush that system until you are sick of flushing it. If it is not 100% clean, you will be doing it again. Corrosion in the front radiator support. How common is it?
Hell, my in Texas since new '88 F150 I own has corrosion on the core support. Passenger side is the worst. Rest of the truck is rot free. Well, not unless you consider rotted out cab mounts. :D Probably going to order a new unit from LMC or a similar place. Anyone tried that part?- Hit Man X

My friend's 1974 1310 Turbo IDI build!
Love the IH build! :sly Great to see not all of them are junked. A boosted IDI was the only other choice for my '76 Scout (even has factory A/C!), but I have a fantastically running 345/727 combo which will probably last forever so I will just keep that. ha- Hit Man X

Thanks for the quick replies. The truck looks like, well, ass to be frank. Interior is fine for all purposes... carpet shampoo, retint, new speakers/CD player would be all I would need minus gauges. Mustang 5.0 HO motor in a 88 F250..?
Wrong, 302s in the F-series became SEFI MAF in 1994 when the 4R70W was introduced in them. Thankfully the AOD finally went away. Next, the 302 truck was 185hp/270tq in the flat tappet version.
