Grease for driveshaft slip yoke splines?
Be careful saying that. For example you have wheel bearing grease which is much thicker than chassis grease. You have to admit these engines are noisy. I drove mine for several years and had several inspections till it opened up bad enough for me to go "hey, this thing is nosier than it should be". Had a big hole in the manifold. A lot quieter now.- franklin2

About a year ago I was panicking because they were out of stock on the driver's side. I did not need that side, but the pass side was pretty rough with a hole in it and I predict I will need the driver's side one day.- franklin2

This little set of "socket easy outs" saved my bacon when I did this job. The bolt heads are so disintegrated, no socket was going to fit them. What is the preferred method for lining up the axle pivot bushings on twin traction beams with leaf springs?
When you do serious work like this on one of these leaf spring frontends, you come to realize how much of a bind the front leaves and the shackle bushings for the leaf springs are really in. No wonder the leaf spring bushings do not last very long, especially the shackle bushings up front.- franklin2

Fuel tank showerheads
Yes, 4 prong would be for a 460 equipped truck with the hot fuel handling option(which most had) which had a lift pump inside each tank. I think we talked about this before, not sure if anyone has done it yet, but do not see why you could not use a piece of steel or copper/nickel line to bridge...- franklin2

Clinking( metal clicking) noise when rolling
There is no adjustment for the brakelight switch. It uses that hokey setup that Ford came up with years and ago and used on all their vehicles. Just remember, a rotation squeak in the u-joints is going to be 3.5 to 4 times faster than a squeak out at the wheels/brakes.- franklin2

The electric clutch is only so you can engage 4x4 on the fly while moving. You can use auto hubs without the electric transfer case, you just have to treat it like you have manual hubs and stop before engaging 4x4. Injection pump cores.
They are needing cores because they get the ones that were used with WMO and some are not rebuildable. Don't you remember a few years ago the Agnem guy was asking for good cores for this reason?- franklin2

6.9 IDI questions
Check the sending unit pipes on the top of the tank carefully. They like to rust and will develop small pinholes that will let the lift pump suck a little bit of air in the line.- franklin2
