The tach does move when he's cranking the motor, could it still be the CPS-if it was only that easy? Yes, It is a 7.3 PSD, so I guess it is a mechanical pump & if it's mechanical I'm assuming no inertial shutoff - no real need to have one. It is odd that the site I found on line listed a inertia switch for a F250 PSD with a electric fuel pump - there mistake I'm sure. Thank you, Del- FlySAR

PSD! According to one of the parts sites it has an electric fuel pump and an inertia shut off; I don't know, I drive an 87' 6.9. Just fishing for ideas why it just quit & this was just one more option, maybe; tough to troubleshoot when you're thousand miles away. Del- FlySAR

I'm not real sure; when the AC didn't work, within the last 2-3 yrs, we really noticed it. Over the last 12 years I've only put about 60,000 on the truck & most of those were short trips. I have not checked the timing - I'm debating the cost of buying a pulse adapter as mentioned on this site or taking it to a shop. I know that could be the culprit & it is certainly the easiest next step but I figured because I hadn't adjusted it during the swap it should be fine - poor...- FlySAR

Revisiting issue regarding lack of power Recap - Donor truck swap of non turbo 6.9 that was in a 86' F250 w/ a T-19 into my 87' F350 C6 that had a 6.9 that blew a head gasket. Prior to the swap the donor truck seemed to run well & had a lot more uphill power then my 87' just before it blew...- FlySAR

Part Number Rolled into the Ford parts dept this morning & the guy went right to the bin & pulled the part; didn't even have to give him year/make/model - I guess he's pulled this part before. :D Not sure if anyone has posted the part number but thought it might be helpful...- FlySAR
