We keep cheap laundry detergent diluted to 30% on hand in a squirt bottle. If oil or diesel spills we put some on it quickly, then hose them off after a few minutes, it helps a lot. DEI exhaust wrap vs other brands
It seems that DEI brand exhaust wrap has fans here. But it costs about 3x more than all the other brands, which also have favorable reviews. Here in the pic, for example, I have 3 rolls of 50' each, a total of 150' of wrap, for less than the price of one 50' roll of DEI. Does anybody know why...- Ferdy Mint

Fuel filter light comes up what could be the cause?
Unclear to me from your post how many miles are on this filter. Did you stop driving it after 200, and it's been sitting there for 3 years? Could be green goop grew in there. Use Howes or another additive. I get IDI filters for about $6 by the box. I'd just change it. Take a look in the one...- Ferdy Mint

Starter mixed up at rebuild shop? Won't go in.

It's raining cold sideways now in Texas or I'd go check. But I don't think this Bully has Acc position. Even though it's XLT Lariat... In any case, she usually listens to Jack Spirko podcasts on her earbud, not the radio. Another reason she's a keeper. When SHTF, she'll still feed us.- Ferdy Mint

Bingo. She's given us four healthy kids, and I'm grateful. I choose my battles. I can fix the truck. Back when we dated she scraped the low nose of my car on a curb, backing up. Two failed FSS here in 5 years. Must be my wife leaving the ignition on. I can't change her, but I can change the truck to the air choke shutoff method. There are a few FSS failures out here in a search, but not many. It's rare. Hey, it's another coincidence!- Ferdy Mint

The guys at Classic Diesel Design in San Anton TX live and breath them IPs. They have a 250cc version for sale! For reference, 238cc is good for over 1000hp in a 7.3 PSD.
