thanks, I will pull the valve covers and report back. I think there is a shop in town that will pop test these injectors so I'll let you know Luke- BiodieselLuke

I picked up a 94 factory turbo 250 4x for a grand a few months ago. It has a ford rebuild on the trans and as far as I can tell, no love anywhere else. Cracked Fuel Lines
the 4500 that I maintain at work has not had any cracked fuel lines. Which is to say the only thing that has not cracked are the fuel lines, heads twice, head gaskets, 2 sets of injectors, 1 cp3, numerous other issues, but the allison has never been apart. seems like a totally different animal...- BiodieselLuke

Thanks again, I've got someone local in chico but sacramento is only an hour and a half away so maybe I'll search for somebody reputable in Sac. I'll definitely do that oil cooler, I did one on a PSD and it took a bit of time just getting it off, and it was messy. Is it the same on the IDI, 4...- BiodieselLuke

I picked up a factory turbo setup for my 86 6.9 with 120k original miles. I thought I should do head gaskets before the turbo as I'd like to run a moose pump and injectors and leave room for more, later. OK, I guess I'll wait to put the turbo in till I've got enough time to do it all. The 6.0's and 6.4's were doing the whole replacing the bolts one at a time, which gave me the idea. I would do that if I was wanting to run it till it blows and start over, but I'll just wait- BiodieselLuke
