SO, as a means to spot bubbles in the system since I'm installing a looped return..
I've read that you can use one of those small clear inline filters but the ones I saw at the store looked awful small and all I need is clear tubing of some kind, but what kind?
thanks!
well suppose i go and change the gasket and heads and then find out there's a crack in the block.. people have told me you can't know for sure if the block is cracked until you pull it out and have it checked.
some people tell me the 6.9s rarely get cracked blocks.
other people say the stock...
free fatty acids are in the water. remove the water by gravity or centrifuge, because if you just evaporate it off by heat/vacuum it leaves them in the oil.
but yeah then it's not as big a deal
so i have this f250 with a water leak into the engine somewhere. could just be a headgasket, but it's bad enough of a leak that it looks like a steam engine when you take the oil filler cap off so it could be heads, too, dunno. it's probably the result of the original owner getting an ATS turbo...
hmm yeah i know you're right about probably needing to replace all of em, i was just trying to do something quick since i wanted to drive all the way down to southern california today.. i can't get either of the nuts to budge AT ALL. i tried some liquid wrench to no avail.
it looks like it's...
i can see fuel leaking out of and air bubbling into an injector. i tried just tightening the top nut but couldn't get it to budge. any tips or do i need to replace it?
i've only used this setup in relatively warm climates, but with proper blending should be applicable to other areas. the vegtherm thing by plantdrive gets friggin hot and i ran it right before the stock filter on a 6.9 and kept 100%wvo in front and diesel in back (some wvo returns to this tank...
who has used either of these or the pebbly stuff? and how long have you been running it since? they're both all 100%guarantee-d and both cost ~100 bones.
i've got a steam powered diesel!

6.9L has a water leak into the engine. but where oh where? if it's just the headgasket it would be an easy fix for someone who were so inclined. but if it's the block or something that would suck. the mechanic i spoke to says he just replaced the headgasket on his neighbor's 7.3 but turned out...
so why exactly is there an injection line going from a T between two injectors to right after the fuel filter? is it like a partially looped return or something?
can i plug it or should i T it back in?
