6.9 vs 7.3 IP

Can a 6.9L IP be rebuilt for a 7.3L?

There a complete 6.9L with oil in the coolant at the salvage yard. Was thinking of grabbing the IP to use as a core.

They also had a F550 (ex fire department) '@!%# cash for clunkers. The rear axle, springs and transmission were already gone, oh well.

Ip's are pretty much exactly the same, they will swap without nothing being done

physically they are the same. Fuel curves are different. 7.3 fuels harder, lower. and has a higher rpm gov.
