I wanna make my rear end pull posi,I drive my truck daily has anyone ever installed a locker inside of a 2wd open differential?i was trying to avoid pulling the whole unit.
Just read back and it was “u2slow” with the Detroit. I would be hesitant to put one in my truck if I towed. If it was just a daily driver it’s a no brainer bolt in traction. That’s just my opinion though, I have no experience with diffs other than open and my trutrac
a locker tends to be a lot more aggressive on road if you have a manual trans.
thats the one, my 4 wheeling days were over 20 yrs ago. wasn't sure if they were still making them.Yeah I'm looking at the Powertrax Lock Right one,it just replaces the spider gears.
I found the opposite to be true. Both my drivers right now are locked and manual. Take your foot off the throttle to unlock. Take it out of gear and coast for tight parking lot turns.
I had the locker in an auto Ramcharger briefly and didn't care for that at all. It stays locked and you scrub tires like a spool... all the time.
