WTS light coming on randomly

I just recently did the manual glowplug mod on my 94 and my wait to start light comes on intermittently while i am driving. Any ideas why this could be happening? The volt meter does not show that the glow plugs are drawing current when this is happening. A few weeks ago i thought i was seeing things when it flashed on for a second , but now it has been occuring more frequently in the last week.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure why a manually controlled solid state unit would flash the WTS light on. The older 6.9 units will do that because you have to cut wires on them to make the manual control work.

Its gotta be a short in the system... I just haven't a clue where it would be.

bad ground? That's what mine was but it is not manually controlled.
