I have worked my cruise issues down to a vacuum issue. I have almost removed all vacuum controls from this truck. I have decided I want to adapt a later model electric cruise servo onto my truck.

Anyone have one to sell?

I will do a tech write up too. This is actually not as complicated as I originally thought!

Thanks!

Chris

I'm sure it can be done, and sure you already know this...
But you'll probably need the dash harness also, along with the cruise computer under the dash.

If you do this, PLEASE do a write-up! I know you said you're planning to, but please consider this a formal request. I don't know if the Ford electronic system is more reliable than the vacuum-actuated system, but I have a strong suspicion that it is...and, the day's going to come when you won't be able to find vacuum cruise control actuators even in junkyards anymore...and I like my cruise control

I think it will be. I have a cruise servo off my 94 ranger here. The cable length from the throttle lever to the cable mount is different. I don't have a larger truck to compare to. Perhaps they are close. Just not sure.

Here is a pic of the difference.

What kind of money do you need? Another question. I am assuming it was an idi van, how long is the overall cable length? Thanks.

I'm really not sure what they are worth…$40? Do you need the cable or the module or both? The cable I have is approximately 62 inches.

I wish it was done! In theory, it all should work...but, in reality, I am having some problems. I think I am having an unreliable speed signal from the instrument cluster.

I just can't get it to work. Either that, or the actuator I bought is no good....
