Not true. I pull my 4000lb boat with 3.08's in the Moosestang, and it's no big deal. Of course the Bronco is a little lighter than a full size pickup, but you can't beat the 24MPG. The Dana 61 is not any "lighter duty" than a Dana 70 full floater near as I can tell. In fact all the brake and hub parts swap over.
4x4 had 410's, now 355. Zf, With the torque cam and turbo it tows the camper and trailer or jeep fine, in hills I just drop a gear or two sometimes, gross is 15.800 ish.
Dually was 410, 460 c-6,gv. now 373, diesel. NA, I think with the low stall convertor and such it will do fine after turbo, im going to turbo this engine since it runs so well . Later swap cam and mod turbo as we go.

So your dana61 is NOT a semi-floater??
For what it's worth, I used to have an E-350 van that had a Dana 61 full-floating axle. I don't know if Mel's Moosestang is a full-floater or a semi-floater, but full-floating Dana 61's DO exist
