Was the '93-'94 factory ATS Wastegated?

Can anyone tell me if the ATS kits from the factory on '93 & '94 IDI's wastegated?

Yes they are from the factory...........although I have blocked mine off completely

Thanks Diezel! I appreciate it! Can you tell me if they were intercolled too? I saw a factory job the other day that said intercooled on the badge on the side that I thought was from the factory!?????

I am pretty sure that ford never offered an intercooled IDI from the factory i would bet that the owner had one installed and then got new badges for it

FWIW, I don't think ANY Ford diesel was factory intercooled until the '99 Superduties came out.

Actually, I recall hearing somewhere that the 1st Gen PSD didn't have a wastegate (although the IDI turbo does) either...

yep 1st gen psd never had a wastegate
