I have a 2002 F250 4x4 with the automatic and 3.73 LS.

Lately, when I take off from a stop, the tranny will shudder slightly. This is on normal take offs - I'm not trying to race or tow or anything like that. I haven't noticed anything else happening and I do not have an aftermarket tranny guage, although the stock gauge is not indicating any overheating.

It's had the 60,000 mile flush and refill (it has 78,000 now).

Any ideas on how to get rid of the shudder? Or is this an indication of the start of something more severe?

Y'all were a lot of help earlier, so I thought I'd give OB a shot again.

Thanks.

I had a tranny shudder and my fix was to tighten the bolts ROCK TIGHT on the tranny cross support under it.
