i have a 93 7.3 zf5 with 4:10 limited slip driveline has all new u-joints and a new yoke and in first and 2nd gear i can feel and hear a pop at lower rpm when i get on the peddle a little and sometimes in 3rd but never in 4th or 5th. i checked everything i could think of that would cause it to pop but cannot figure it out. is it possible its something inside the axle? put new fluids in the rear end about 800 miles ago. i tow a lot and would like to figure it out before i tow 13,000 pounds 800 miles next week

doesn't matter if I'm turning or not.. it kinda feels like the clutches in axle but a little more rough and all the time i get on the peddle in first or 2nd

I would almost say start checking the rear axle u bolts and even the transmission cross member bolts.

The LS will pop sometimes when the clutches are worn. I recently worked on a dodge that the clutches had broken and were floating around in the carrier and destroyed everything.
