Some peoples idea of Rust free are different than other. Remember, you are in the rust belt

Ya i know. we will look at it and if it is nice we will probly get it. if it will take a lot of body work then we won't get it. like i told my mom "there is no point in having a rollng can of bondo."

Well just got back from the 215 mile round trip drive to look at the '77. This ain't the truck that will be taking part in my PSD swap. it would need a totaly new box. the truck would need almost a full resto before even considering a swap.

Oh well. just have to keep looking. i like to look of the of the '78s and '79s better anyways.

Thank for all the input guys.

If I make a suggestion? If you want a really nice truck here you go!! Found this yesterday and if I had the money I would make a offer. You could get this truck cheaper than you could build one in this shape. On the negative side I could not swap to a diesel do to the mileage and original shape of truck.

Thats to nice of a truck to do a swap with. one that nice and original you would want to keep original like you said.

How bout this truck....

1979 Ford F-250 Dana 60's front and rear, 1968 460 Engine, c6 Transmission, NP 205 Transfer case, solid truck just a couple of items to finish restoration. Truck is very dusty, cleans up nice. $3500 obo

I have been in contact with the seller the past couple days via email and he said that the truck has about 100 miles on it since resto. he had the body off of the frame and sandblasted and painted the frame. siad all bodywork has been done. has a rebuilt 460 engine and C6 tranny.

I think it might be worth looking into further. ideas?

I like the fact that this truck has D60 front and back. most of the trucks i have seen on craigs list have a d44 up front i don't know how long that would last getting power from a 7.3 PSD.

that truck looks more ideal. one thing to keep in mind is that on a highboy the frame is 4"? narrower then the standard f250. would make it more of a pain to swap IMO. i know that the black one isnt a highboy just something to keep in mind. how do you know that its a dana 60 front? it would of had a dana 44 front, dana 60 rear from factory

I would double check that is has a D60 in the front, they only came in the 350s.
The frame and underside look awfully dirty for 100 miles since redone.

And it has a aftermarket tailgate, what else is NOT ford
