And it has a aftermarket tailgate, what else is NOT ford

Should the correct tailgate say ford on it?

I will shoot him an email about the D60.

man you are kind of shooting down my hopes.LOL but i would much rather be told what is what rather than buy the thing then get looking at it and find out that it is a mish mosh of parts.

Yes. All FORD tailgates from 67-91 had ford stamped in them

The 60 definitely adds to the re-sale value, but if you don't plan on thrashing it, I wouldn't hesitate to use a 44.
The old family farm truck my dad has that has been abused for 3 generations is a 77 F250 high-boy. It has hauled a 10k pound forklift in the bed (not a typo), and my uncle used to haul a 40' goose neck with about 20k pounds of farm equipment on it. The original 400 was pitched in favor of a 460 years ago, but the truck is otherwise stock. My point is, these things are built to last. I'm next in line to get it, and when that time comes, it just might be getting an IDI.

That was cheap for that truck just the axles alone are worht 500 to 800 cuz of the limited slip they have in front and rear. I am planing on doing a highboy restore from the frame up and put a 4020 john Deere in it or a cummins in it but I haven't got the truck yet haha still working on my 94 then moving on to the highboy project or my mustang project lol

i know some of you have your doubts about the originality of the truck but do you think it would be a solid base for me to start with for my swap?

even though the d60 might not have been factory on that truck there is still nothing wrong with it being in there right?

i would like the seller to be honest and correct with his information but at the same time i really could care less about the enginea and trans cuz i would be selling that stuff after i get my swap done. i just want a good body and frame. there is no piont in doing a bunch of fab work and wiring only to put an engine into a tea strainer.
