I really don't know.... it's been so long since I've had a real truck.... I hope I can handle it.I dunno Mike. She's looking an awful lot like a truck again. Are you going to remember what to do with one those things?
Could take the line off at the pump and fuel selector. Cap it at the selector. Put some air pressure or adapt to a garden hose for ~35psi water pressure from where you took it off at the pump. Should start to leak where it was sucking air. Kind of a long process, but i really cant figure out a better way to do it.I wish I had good news to report but the ***** made me walk home. Luckily it was only about 1/4 mile. It just died. I think it's a fuel pressure issue. I jumped the pump Fss to direct pOwer and that didn't fix it. Pump seemed to click.
I don't know why but it went from having ~8 psi at the filter head to basically nothing. I can here it suck an air bubble once in a while. I switched tanks to the rear which I think has more in it. Gauge says that anyway. All I know is I need to fix this and quick. I think the first thing I will do is change the feed line to the facet pump. Last time I had this issue I figured out that it was sucking air there. From there I guess I'll change the pump. It seems like it only does it after it gets warm. Once I get it primed it will start again. The long and short of it is it's not carrying the fuel pressure it was and that problem has to be solved regardless.
Needless to say I give big kudos to the wifey for playing tow truck driver and dragging me up the street at 11 o'clock.
