#8 exhaust pushrod is also slightly bent. I had to roll it across my glass top cook stove to see it.

I would think those shim's would defeat the purpose of the cam. It would make the valve open less, but they might be needed for clearance also.

I would keep them so you don't have the chance of internal parts kissing. I guess you could throw in a good push rod and bolt and be on your way.

Now that I can see them better, the pushrod got pretty bent. Not sure why though....

The shims would reduce the lift but it would maintain the timing differences.

Turns out the exhaust pushrod is slightly bent. I mean VERY slightly bent. Had to roll it across the glass cook top to see it.

I'll call them first thing in the morning to see what they want to do.

My theory was since the rocker wasn't pivoting in the right direction (valve not opening) it was deflecting sideways. The push rod is all beat up on one side where it goes through the head.

me wonders if you should pull another push rod while you have the valve cover off.

Yeah you don't want to void any warranty if you can. Kinda curious what they will say.

Yeah, I'm not tearing down anymore until I talk to them.

Not the worst idea ever to pull another pushrod.

This is what im thinking, so far all of the pushrods you have checked have been bent. Hopefully due to the bolt failure, and a bolt head rattling around in the valve cover. Hopefully not because they are all bent due to some assembly issue.
