With the 4 speeds, I usually leave the bellhousing attached to the engine and leave the tranny hanging as you did. I've done it a few times with my 73 F100 replacing the 360's clutch a couple of times as well as my Dad's 79's clutch a couple of times. Hauling heavy loads on the farm does a number on clutches. So does a driver who drags the clutch unnecessarily. The important thing is, you got it out! :)

I think I am replacing the C6/1345 combo with a T18/205 combo I am getting in trade for an old truck I have. Your thread makes for good learning. Gotta love Midwest Rust! I just have to figure out if I am going with what I am used to, and that is an unassisted clutch or fitting in a hydraulic one. I think the bellhousing I have has provisions for a slave...

And I like your taste in tractors and other equipment! Is that a 1066 in the background? Good luck! I'm subscribing

I think it's a 1066. There's many tractors around. Some are Jed's, some are back burner projects for customers.
The main tractors are the 560 for work around the house and the 1980 186 hydro. He uses the hydro for pretty much everything, it's his baby.
There's a 5088 in the shop that's been torn apart for at least 5 years, he wants to get it back together but doesn't have the time.
And a 3088 that gets used maybe once a year to run the driers.

My c6 truck has a 208. Not sure what the t19 truck has, it's a bw tcase.

Gonna work on the trucks till 4 today, then get cleaned up and go to the ntpa tractor pulls.

Going to swap interior pieces, move radio/amp/sub/etc.

Didn't get any work done on the truck today. Was hoping to have the motor ready to pull.
Had to help with this CF instead.
Broken rear yoke on truck, stuck. Tried Jeep, wouldn't budge. Tried 560, got it stuck. Finally tried pulling it forward with the other tractor and got it out.

Got black truck pulled under the A frame and 5 gal of coolant drained. Went to tractor pulls again. Hoping to have motor out tomorrow, we will see if the weather lets me.
