I really don't know if it is because I grew up, shall we say, underfunded? Or if it is just because I hate to see something go to china that another working man could use. At any rate, I need a motor (engine) for the latest F-350 crew cab 5 speed 4 wheel drive Craigslist purchase and this truck came up as a possible donor.

am I just being optimistic or is there value/beauty in the eyes of another beholder?

Ok looked both posts over...

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

Save this one and keep it as it is?

OR Sell this one without the engine?

You really are not making it easy to discern.

Looks like a nice ride, so fix it run it sell it turn a profit...???

I've got nothing to offer cause I don't have a clue whats going on.

JM2CW..Oh could be the beer talking

This would be number seven diesel (6 ford and 1 deuce and a half) between the boy and I. At some point, I just can not justify another one in the stable. I know that we can not save them all but I do wonder if somebody in the North East is looking for a rust free dually crewcab 2 wd (what the heck would somebody do with all of that truck anyway?)

Do not feel bad about not being clear, that makes two of us.

Looks worth saving to me....
Slantnose crew cab = hard to find
Slantnose dually fenders = really hard to find without cracks and/or missing chunks - although I do see some cracks in the pic.
Almost 30 year old truck with no rust issues in the NE seems to be a big selling point.

Somebody needs to buy it and do a 4x4 conversion.

If it were local to me, I'd be all over it.

If the price was right I would have bought it too.

My opinion... Throw another engine in it, put it up for sale and run it until it sells. Then you can be more honest with the buyer. I bet it doesn't ride too bad either.
