Fattywagons.com sells injector line heaters to heat your lines up right before injection. I have been running on wvo and want to install these heaters.

Has anyone used these before? Will they be effective with the return system flow that these IDIs have?

I see it helping cold starting, but you would probably need to let them run 10 or so minutes before starting.

I don't think it'd be that beneficial.
Maybe a plate heat exchanger.

I have a flat plate, heated filter, etc.. But these aren't to eliminate other heaters. They are to raise the oil temp to approx 250 degrees, which helps combustion. I have no issues starting, as I run a two tank system so I start and shut down on diesel.

I just wonder if the fuel flowing through the injector lines is too fast to properly heat on the IDI, since these heaters were designed for the Mercedes diesel.

I was looking into a 12v or 120v silicon heater to wrap the filter with. I'm kind of torn on which one though. A 12v you could use while driving with a switch, but the 120v wou could use like a block heater and plug it in overnight.

I chose the 12 v and will work it with a switch.

Check wvodesigns.com

They have both 12 and 120v filter heater wraps
