How to edit thread titles?

I edited a couple of my thread titles, but the edits don't show up in the index..only when you open the thread. For example, I started a thread on Mercedes trip odometers and clocks, but only put "odometer" in the title. Because the info provided was so good on clocks as well, I edited the title to include them, but the edit only shows up when I open the thread. What's up?

Full Monty, you cant edit the title just the contents of yer post. It is important to get it right the first time......been there done that myself
