I know of one sitting at a diesel shop about 5 miles from me. The shop owner knows what he has and wont sell it.

actually, the parts support for the 524td motor is still quite strong...but you have to hit the dealer....BMW that is. Dunno how it preforms in the Lincoln, but the 524td is a rocket in the BMW chassis compared to the MBZ diesels.

They have a pretty decent supply of parts for the engine at www.thepartsbin.com and from experience from owning a handful of oddball German diesels, ebay germany is a goldmine for parts ( ebay UK has quite a few too ) Still cheaper after shipping since you don't have a few extra middle men marking up the prices to get to a vendor over here.

i have one--68,000 miles--dont ever--- overheat it--its goodbye alum head--mines ok--want to transplant it into a 90 towncar--about same weight as the mark---make a mighty fine luxo barge---
