they sent me a searchable "aftermarket support" list, there are rebuilders "authorized by the factory "

This reminds me of an experience I had 30 years ago in Dayton... there was a diesel shop near me who was supposed to be an authorized Bosch service center. So I sent them the pump from my Mercedes diesel for calibration. I put it back on the engine - and the idle was totally unstable, revving up and down. I took the end cap off and found that the "factory authorized" tech had put a cam on backwards. ;Pissed Fixed it myself, wrote them a letter with pictures - never even got the courtesy of a response.

Ymmv, indeed.

Yea, that's the concern...
No factory support..
I ride a 1967 and am totally unsupported.
