in my experence with these master cyls when bench bleeding after depressing the piston several times you must also depress the piston and block off the hose end with finger then release piston ,otherwise you are just pulling fluid back & forth leaving air voids in the cyl ,also the vacume booster if you have one can cause you grief ,trying to get a good pedal with a bad brake booster is just about impossible ,after changeing the master on my truck 5-times ,made no difference ,could not get a good pedal ,just sank to the floor ,and seemed like air in the system ,but was not ,,replaced the vaccuem booster and bang brake s just like brand new truck .

thats what i was afraid of. the reason i changed the master was because i noticed it leaking at the booster and was hoping i caught it in time before it trashed the booster

pushrod depth in booster to MC could be off too..

What dia...MC did you get? New or reman?

Are your rear shoes adjusted correctly..???

Have you bled the RABBS mid frame driver side?

Just a few questions..more once you answer those...

Rabbs is the half assed abs for these trucks. Its the junction block with a wire attached on the left side inside the frame.

Can it be eliminated?

Yes...but it's really not usually a big deal...

How much fluid have you passed through the system?

Brake MC would hava a size cast on side... 1 1/8 etc...should be able to see...

Does it feel like it's doin anything?

No it has nothing i was bleeding it with the engine off and thought maybe cause it wasnt the brakes wouldnt work right without booster so i started it and pedal still goes straight to the floor. I will have to look at bore size tomorrow i called and got a ride home tonight cause the truck is at my shop. My help said that every once in a while he would get just a little pedal and could tell when i cracked the bleeder but at the end of the night we couldnt get anymore
