Hey guys I opened my radiator cap and discovered oil in the coolant. I thought it was a head gasket but a buddy of mine said it might be the oil cooler o-rings. I can't see the head leaking. Any ideas?

Is it engine oil or transmission fluid? If engine oil, pressure test the oil cooler. If transmission fluid (automatic transmssion only) pressure test the transmission cooler (the one that's in the radiator).

And you may not see the head leaking. The oil cooler isnt a terrible pull, I'd go there first - assuming its oil.

If its ATF, as Dave said, look at the cooler in the radiator.

Have you tried running the engine with the radiator cap off?

Thanks guys and I've verified that its oil because I have a ZF-5spd. I need to pull the oil cooler to pressure test it right? I would like some advice on this plz. I plan to put new o-rings and a fresh gasket on the cooler.
