I just sniped a new (well, almost--it's a conversion take-off) gray "argent" grill off of eBay for just a tick over $100 delivered. I think it will look really nice, since I have charcoal gray bedliner material (color matches the bedrail caps) sprayed on my truck's rocker panels, fenderwell edges and step bars. The color of that grill should match the bedliner/rocker color pretty closely and when I eventually replace the front bumper, I'll be well on my way to a chrome-free truck.
