If you go to the Pollak site and look at their diagram, the port closest to the valve is called the "main", which I assume is the front. The center large port goes to the engine and the larger port the furthest from the valve actuator is called the "aux" and and I am going to assume that's the rear.
Just shake the lines, easy to see which goes to the front tank. I believe it's the bottom line. Just don't get the return lines mixed up, or you'll overfill the tank not being used.
I've always found that pictures help, especially with my memory.
You might have to turn this picture a bit, rotate it, or twist your head. I've labeled things enough for my purposes. You might be able to read things.
