How do the three fuel lines work any way as seen in this photo?

Vent up on top of the tank clips to the frame, that's likely your mystery line.

There's also a breather line off the rear axle clipped to the frame up on the drivers side.

the other 2 with the plastic shrouds on them, one is the feed line, the other is a return line, no way to mix them up, they are different sizes.
incase you didnt know...

Yeah, when I get the time and the tank is sucked almost dry I'll drop it and see what the unit looks like. I know when I pulled the old one, it was burned up, had those electrical burn markings on the shiny sliding part. I feel like this one may have the same issue.

The reason why the fuel tank was missing is because one of the previous owners of my truck was carrying a car battery in one of the side tool boxes which leaked, ate a hole though the tool box, through the bed floor and wrecked the rear fuel tank.
It was sold to be with rear tank missing.
Here are some pictures of the damage to my bed.

What do you think about bed flooring (48x16) from LMC truck?
I forgot to say that I bought the fuel sending unit for $120 from NOS Parts Ltd. http://www.nospartsltd.com/product-p/f4tz9275e.htm
Ford stopped making the fuel sending units for diesel.

im using a gasser unit,
it had a dead spot, but it worked itself out.
order a shower head. youre gonna need it, the fuel pumps come with a sock style mounted on the fuel pump.
i deleted the gasser electric intank pump and extended it with a showerhead on the bottom.

Where can I get the shower head from for the fuel sending unit?

Showerheads can be had on Amazon. You can also run fuel line from the bottom of the pickup, just cut some notches in the end so it doesn't suck itself to the bottom of the tank.

I think I bought the wrong fuel sending unit, the one for the front tank instead of the rear (F4TZ9275E). Could I make it work for the rear tank?
